We are proud to recognize Dr. Stephanie Gora, Assistant Professor at York University and a long-standing, active member of CAWQ, for receiving the OWWA Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Award at the recent OWWA Annual Conference in Blue Mountains, Ontario.

Dr. Gora has made meaningful contributions to the Canadian water sector through her advocacy, mentorship, and leadership. She has been a strong voice for inclusivity, and her work reflects the values of respect, collaboration, and community that CAWQ upholds.

A dedicated member of our organization, Dr. Gora served as co-chair of the 59th Central Canadian Symposium on Water Quality Research, held April 8–9, 2024. Her continued commitment to advancing water research and fostering an inclusive professional environment inspires many within the CAWQ network.
